An alarm or fire detection system can be very useful for the prompt warning of any dangerous event, such as fire, a robbery

or a simple burglary, in some cases it can automatically manage events (transmission of messages for room evacuation,

automatic fire-extinguishing, TVCC system interface, access route or door blockage, automatic warning to authorities, etc.),

but in any case, it does not ensure protection against damages to propriety or damages caused by fires or robberies).

Moreover, each system may not properly operate if it is not installed and maintained according to the manufacturer’s

instructions.

Temperature Heat Detector (90°C)   DCD-CE3

Description

Model DCD-CE3 is a Rate of Rise Heat Detector with a 90°C fixed temperature element using

a thermistor and linearizing circuit to provide an accurate linear response Heat Detector.

The DCD-CE3 is ideal for use where medium ambient temperatures exist, such as drying

rooms or where Smoke Detectors are unsuitable because of the presence of steam or cooking fumes such as in a kitchen.

The DCD-CE3 is supported by a wide range of bases for different applications and these are

supported on the majority of conventional systems.  A third terminal provides remote

indicator output.

Detector    SLR-E3N

The SLR-E3N is a Photoelectric Smoke Detector, which is fully compatible with the

majority of existing Conventional systems.

The SLR-E3N incorporates Hochiki’s unique High Performance photoelectric smoke

chamber removing the need to use Ionization Detectors in the majority of applications.

An integral third terminal provides a remote indicator output.

The smoke chamber is easily removed or replaced for cleaning and utilizes a unique baffle

design which allows smoke to enter the chamber whilst keeping out ambient light.

optical detector uses the same outer case as the ionisation smoke detector and

is distinguished by the indicator LED which is clear in standby and red in alarm.

Within the case is a printed circuit board which, on one side, has the light proof

labyrinth chamber with integral gauze surrounding the optical measuring system

and, on the other,the address capture, signal processing and communications

TEMPERATURE DETECTORS

To provide a device for use in ambient temperatures of up to 55°C, a high

temperature detector (part no: 55000-401IMC) is also available.This has similar

characteristics to the standard temperature detector at 25°C but reaches a 55

count (alarm) at 90°C.

MULTI SENSOR   DETECTOR

Multi sensor detector contains an optical smoke sensor  and a thermistor temperature sensor whose outputs.

are combined to give the final analogue value.

The multi sensor construction is similar to that of the optical detector but uses a  different

lid and optical moldings to accommodate the thermistor temperature sensor.  The

sectional view (below) shows the arrangement of the optical chamber and thermistor.

The signals from the optical smoke sensing element and the temperature sensor

are independent, and represent the smoke level and the air temperature

respectively in the vicinity of the detector.   The detector’s microcontroller processes

the two signals.   The temperature signal processing extracts only rate of rise

information for combination with the optical signal.   The detector will not respond to a slow temperature increase – even if the

temperature reaches a high level.

A large sudden change in temperature can, however, cause an alarm without the presence of smoke, if sustained for 20 seconds.

Beam Detectors

Beam detection has always been seen as the most economical way to protect large areas, but in the past this was seen as unreliable. Building movement and accessibility made beam detection unreliable, difficult, time consuming to commission and hard to maintain. Only now, with the introduction of The Fire Beam’s advanced technology, is reliability no longer a problem and beam detection be used with complete confidence.

The Fire Beam will self-align itself to the center of the reflector when commissioning and  will automatically keep alignment when building movement occurs.

Nexus 120 Sounder
